There's lots of 70's goodies that fill this busy scene: stainless steel action-red Budd cars, wooden CN vans, 40' boxcars, the old Bathurst St. yard tower. Most prominent however are CN's Spadina roundhouse and servicing facilities in the background, teaming with the usual GMD and MLW passenger power of the time. The steam-era coal tower, wash racks, ready tracks and coachyard complete the scene.

Also visible in the distance is the TTR's Central Heating Plant, and 1 Yonge Street (Toronto Star office tower). The amount of trees in the distance near the roundhouse is oddly perplexing to see downtown.

This photo was taken during one of Emery's Toronto visits, when he was filming video footage for what would eventually be released as his "TrainTown Toronto" video. You can see this same train arriving in part of the footage.
