This is a classic example of my personal "good Old Days". Hanging around Fort Erie on this day some years ago, for example; CR came over and departed, followed by D&H leading a B&M, and it went around the wye so I get now a B&M leading, and before it departed, C&O came over in the Chessie cat paint. Plus, at the shop were several CN A and B units and a few old Geeps. These days were amazing.
This shot is of B&M 208 with D&H 417 (former 407) trailing, going back stateside after dropping off cars and now with traffic bound for the USA. Oddly enough, in this picture the yard tracks look very well used, whereas the mainline upper right, does not.

  1. Sigh, my old stomping grounds way before they tore it all up. Loving the D&H chopnose RS11!

  2. D & H 417 was an Ex-LV C420 I believe.

  3. You are correct. My mistake. I love that D&H was a haven for Alco’s.

  4. Great shot of a long gone era !
