The last of the days rays of light accentuates the rapidly spreading rust on the pilot of GMTX MP15 333. It has been over half a year since she turned a wheel but remains to this day in Streetsville yard, it’s only purpose is an occasional stop block for CP H24’s cars. The only story I have heard on it’s future is it will be interchanged with Union Pacific somewhere, but first someone has to convince CP to release it as the railroad reportedly doesn’t want to pay for its shipping. I would love to know if this is the real story. The way things are going along the old Owen Sound subdivision these days the unit may very well outlive the majority of the line it last work on.

  1. I heard a few months ago that the unit was initially planned to go to Metro East Industries in St. Louis, MO for maintenance. I’m not sure which railroad interchanges to this shop. Do you know if this where it is headed on UP.

  2. I believe that was part of the story I was told as well.
