It was a close call when I look back. I had already lived in Redwater for 4 years before taking up rail photography seriously. It was the winter of 84/85 that I decided to go out and “get a few photos” before that 1st generation power gets replaced. The summer of 85 was the last summer for plentiful F units. By 86, many of them had gone east. Whew, close call for sure.
