Dug up another photo from the old days of GO power pulling freight. I last posted a shot of this train around 9 years ago (#8920) so I guess another is valid. MAC-bound (CN) GO 8901, 9804, 710 and 709 waiting out a signal at Aldershot due to passenger train congestion ahead. The freight would eventually run up the Halton.
CP leased GO power on weekends back then, and CN, to a lesser extent, did as well. This was a late day image, and I was glad to at least get this much of a shot before the light failed.
GO 9801 and 9804 renumbered 501 and 504 in 1975. In 1991, 710 and 709 went to CN; numbered 9677 and 9676.
Thats Lemonville Rd bridge in the background. The chimney is part of the long gone Burlington Brick Plant.
