Caption: CN SW1200RSu 7308 sits near the shop at Mac Yard coupled to M420 3522. Built in 1960 as CNR 1373, the pup was rebuilt in 1987 to 7308 and retired in March 2000. From CN, the unit was sold to Canac and later to Savage Services, receiving their paintjob around 2013 becoming SVGX 7308. Barely in frame, 3522 originally CN 2522, would be retired in March 1998 and sold a few months later to National Railway Equipment in Silvis, Illinois. It would be picked up by the Cape Cod Central Railroad becoming their 2000 for a couple of years before returning to Canada and heading for the prairies as Great Western Railway 2000. The GWR retired it’s MLW fleet in recent years, with the 2000 moving east to Manitoba, now operating on the Keewatin Railway as their 2404.
