Its not just roads and sidewalks that need salt or sand to keep their surfaces safe, railyards need it too.  On a visit to Mimico Yard in February 1985, Bruce Lowe captured a yard crew dropping sand along one of the ladder tracks, shoveling it off the deck of a flatcar modified with timbers to keep the sand on the car.

GMD SW900 7206, built 1953, would be renumbered to 7906 very soon, along with the rest of the series, to clear the 7200 series for GP9RM rebuilds, the earliest of which appeared in June 1985.
