Caption: Rocky Mountaineer’s predecessor was the Great Canadian Railtours Company, and they started with a pair of eventually-repainted ex-ATSF GE B37-7 units for power, seen here westbound at 1550 on Wednesday 1992-08-19 with 12 cars in Pitt Meadows and about to cross Kennedy Road then approach the CP Pitt River bridge. The open farmland on the left side of the photo is now CP’s Vancouver Intermodal Facility, the pole line is long since history, and a CTC crossover is now at the location of the second unit.
