I haven't any information on this place, other than it dates to 1900. This is a photo of the old CN Stevensville railroad station, moved to behind (and mostly out of sight) private residence in town. By the appearance of this, the station must have been moved in 1987, although I do not recall ever seeing it trackside, and I don't know how it would have gotten by me. So I have no idea how long it actually has been sitting there on its supports when I grabbed this shot. The building has settled in nicely over the years at this location, but is hard to photograph now due to foliage and other such 'photo deterrents' in the way.

  1. Oh….my…..Arnold! Another gem!!! I haven’t been there for quite a few years now, but had a wonderful tour from the owners upon my last visit (might have been around 2002…or 2005….early 2000′s anyways).

  2. Nice of you to get a tour. I did not ask. I think it was an abandoned school next to this station when I shot it back in 1988. Now I see it is a beautiful home.

  3. Ha! You just confirmed what I was thinking as I typed my first comment….of course, the mind sometimes is not as good of a note taker compared to the use of pen and paper….that school house was converted into a beautiful home, and that’s where the owners reside….at least they did when I last visited.
