Caption: The unit train is passing south over the connecting track between the Lac La Biche and Coronado Subs, there is also a grade crossing with Hwy 28 at this point. I posted a photo of CN 61202 some time ago, it was also making a trip to and from Fort McMurry. For whatever reason, these cars made the occasional trip during the 80's. Unlike the 61202, this car is single ended, reading the 1989 CTG, it reports that it was originally built as an express reefer in 1957. No date as to when it was converted, this will be when the single end was added (the other end still looked like a box car end) and those pretty sweet trucks (or are they from express reefer days?). The 61202, although double ended, rode on caboose trucks. As I mentioned before, to have one of these for your personal use would be a dream come true. This one, if you look close on the roof (it is folded up), even comes with a TV antenna, nice. Photo taken at 20:30 using Ektachrome 200 film.

To complete the info, on Wednesday, May 15th, the 70067 went north through Redwater at 19:40 as part of the rear cars on the Muskeg Mixed (baggage7856, coach5099, caboose79101 & CN 70067). The 5574, 5532 and 4280 as power.
Thursday morning the 16th, unit train of 55 empty sulphur hoppers goes north at 9:55. 5589, 5515 and 4307 up front, Cab 79248 at rear.
Friday the 17th, return of the unit train at 20:30, with 5589, 5515 & 5532 for power now, approx. 50 loads, Cab 79248 and CN 70067 at rear. At 23:00, return of the Muskeg Mixed, did not catch unit numbers.
To NiagraMike – The CTG confirms your order of things. The 61202 is termed a Superintendent’s Car. Sigh, the lowly 70067 is termed, Misc. – House – Other.
Doesn’t quite have the same ring.
