Ontario is having a special day...a foot of snow so far in Cambridge. Our plows are usually very good at not leaving windrows.....but not today. After a 90 minute wait, 234 (whose crew is not having a great day having left London at 5am) cleans out the crossing with BNSF SD70MAC 9572 still trailing...somewhere in there. For the crew, hopefully, a straight shot into Toronto; which is getting even more snow than this. For me, Canadian railroading at its best, but to have a Heritage leader as well, stupendous.

  1. Luckily this was a new crew from Wolverton (still poor crew).

  2. Thank you sir, for braving the elements to capture this phenomenal scene ! Did you get clear in time to avoid getting covered ?

  3. Nice. Sweet catch, Dave.

  4. Wild.

  5. Nothing like CP Heritage “beaver” nose blasting through the snow ! Well, maybe might be better if it it were an H1 or a G3. Dave, thanks for braving the elements and tricky driving to catch this great scene. Brings back memories when I did try to catch CPR steam power on the Galt Sub in the snow and cold. John

  6. …admire your determination!

  7. Holy Cow!!!!
