Caption: If there is a crummy day, I'll find it. Here I am out wandering a CP yard when one was still able to do so; and of course it is pouring rain. Grabbed a shot of CP 4744, that one-of-a-kind, model M-640. Going thru old photos here the other day and noted this shot features that earlier striped scheme on the cab end. My 3/4 shot from back then was ruined due to a lot of water on the lens, so this had to make do. Currently the unit resides at the Canadian Railway Museum, having been donated in July 1998, after being retired 30 years ago come this April. Locomotive was built in 1971.
