Caption: There was a time, years ago, when you could down the driveway of this lovely bridge to take pictures of trains. There was a small family home nestled into the Shade's Mill Conservation area that backs onto the tracks here. The owners allowed the visitors on the unwritten agreement of "take only pictures, leave only footprints" that I so wish more might subscribe to. Anyway, the idea was that 147 would come flying up the hill into Galt kicking up a storm of powder from last nights minor snowfall. Even a few racks might have created the effect, but today, 147 is light power to Wolverton, sprinting into Galt under the close watch of Cardinal.....wondering how that lead unit got so filthy. A BNSF GE trails, as seems to be common now.

And when was the last time anyone went down this driveway? didn’t this land recently sell to developers?
Either way, it’s by far a better shot from the road or you can’t see the lovely bridge
I’m not sure who bought it. The house is gone, and just some junk left on the property from my walks around the Conservation Area…although most of the views from the tracks there are overgrown from the last time I checked. Like so many places, a little chainsaw work along the road would help open up the angles
