  1. Rob, what a beautiful “Canadian winter” Rockies railroading picture ! To me, breathtaking ! CN Rail should ask you if they can put this on their annual report cover. Thanks so much for posting, John

  2. This is an iconic CN location, on par with CP’s Morant’s Curve. Some call this spot ‘Robertson’s Curve’, after a signal maintainer who is also an excellent photographer.

    The wind really whips down the Athabasca valley, and this area is subject to sandstorms during dry times of the year when more of the lakebed is exposed.
