Caption: CP Rail 7022, one of the regular old Alco S2 switchers assigned to downtown Toronto's John Street Roundhouse for Toronto-area industrial switching, works the Obico Industrial job on the Canpa Subdivision near the south end of Obico Yard. Sitting nearby are CP SD40's 5554 and 5507, today's power for the Toronto-Hamilton "Starlight".
Behind 7022, a spur leads into Ontario Hydro's sprawling property along the Canpa Sub on the west side of Kipling, north of Queen Street and south of the Manby Transformer Station (see the far left side of this 1968 aerial). Most if not all of the old HEPC property has since been sold off, and the rail spurs inside the grounds and to the nearby transformer station have all been removed.
