Caption: I was quite impressed that I was able to catch CP 234 two days in a row this week, especially when you throw in morning school runs. Typically it sneaks through while I'm doing my school drop off, or in the pre dawn hours. As tiresome as CP's fleet of GE's get these days I have to admit I have taken a liking to the rebuilt AC 4400's, especially in sharp and clean beaver paint. Here 234 adds a splash of red to the somewhat disappointing fall colours along the Credit River this year in Streetsville. Unfortunately the bright orange BNSF GE is buried in the trees in third position. I love this spot in the valley below all the city noise, with the constant flow of the river being the only sound. Numerous turkey vultures can be seen in the sky in the distance and have been very prevalent this year in Southern Ontario.
