Just re-viewing this nice shot in the favourites banner. It’s great to see that old SD on the road and nose out. Based on SCH’s comment, was this a different maneuver to prepare for switching CGC ?
Yes, it was. Run-around. They don’t really do this anymore, instead they split the power at CGC so they don’t have to go all the way to Hagersville. At least that’s what I observed the last time I was there. It could depend on the crew though and the time of the year – the 10 per slows in summer really cut into their time.
Thanks for that explanation. Splitting the power at CGC sounds like an interesting set of maneuvers.
