Pictured in less than ideal lighting conditions, The Truth and Reconciliation livery pauses in Ignace for a crew change. While seemingly a bright and colourful livery, it reflects on a dark period of Canadian history. Released on the first "National Day for Truth and Reconciliation" on September 30, 2021 it will roam the rails, bringing awareness about the atrocities that unfolded for years at residential schools across Canada.

  1. What I really like about this locomotive is how it will keep the conversation going. My students commented on the fact that seeing it go by will make people think about our past and reflect upon it year round vs just for one day.
