Caption: One year ago, today, the last of Ontario Southland Railway’s Guelph Junction equipment departed on the first leg of its trip from Guelph to St. Thomas. Running as CN X568, the movement experienced numerous delays starting with paperwork, a malfunctioning SBU resulting in a 15mph max speed on the Guelph Sub, and foremen working on the main. The train would only get as far as Kitchener where it would wait for L568 to depart for Stratford before yarding their train.

Do you know which railway’s crew operated the trips over the CN mainline under the OSR extra consist?
On this day it was a CN crew with an OSR mechanic onboard. The remainder of the trips had the equipment towed by CN power.
