M420 2530 leads the freight with crew members on the ground to inspect the passenger equipment. Originally CN (1) and later VIA 6526, (2) VIA 6313 lives on today, having been sold to the Ohio Central Railway in 2002, and later to Canadian Pacific in 2006 as one of their heritage painted F-units, number 4107.
