Fantastic scene. Interesting ties to Edmonton, our buses at the same time were red and cream. In just a few more years the 1219 will be serving as helper on the Calder hump with 1220 and 1221 as mothers.
2 thumbs up.
A possible reason for the cars pulled over as the date given is September. It could be for the CNE Air Show which would have been viewable from that point. The show ran for the last weekend of the Ex from !:00 PM to 4:00 PM and often caused drivers from out of town who were unaware of it (and some locals who were) to pull over and watch.
Dave_k that makes sense! I figured it might have had something to do with the annual CNE, but couldn’t quite put my finger on what.
Brundle: a lot of those SW’s seemed to find their way all over the system. Some were regulars out of certain terminals for years or even decades.
Wow. This image really shows how much things have changed over a short period of time.
This is great!
