GMTX 333 is no stranger to working for a failing railroad. It began its life working for the ill fated Milwaukee Road, and today as it pauses in Streetsville yard while one of the Trillium/ OBRY employees steps down to attach the EOTD, its employment with the OBRY is also nearing an end. It would appear that twice weekly trains out of Orangeville are getting smaller as rail served customers look for new transportation options. Today's train was only a lone tank car in each direction. It will be very sad watching this scenic and once successful line fall silent, possibly forever.

  1. Nice scene Marcus! Only customer still receiving takes off this line is Vulsey in Brampton and Trillium actually never takes the Vulsey tanks past Snelgrove unlike CANDO so very likely that today’s run would’ve actually been LIGHT POWER both ways between Orangeville & Snelgrove….

  2. Nice scene, Marcus. What’s the order time for this run?

  3. I’d like to know the order time as well, hopefully I can make a run or two up there before the end. Today they made it to Streetsville for around 10:30 but it varies a lot

  4. In my understanding the order time for this run is ‘currently’ still the same as it always was, 0700, Tuesdays & Fridays in Orangeville Yard by Townline road.

  5. Sort of Graydon – it’s already “as and when required” so they don’t seem to be running two days a week anymore.

Most runs seem to be Tuesdays but they ran once on a Wednesday instead. YMMV.

    It’ll be a crapshoot.

  6. They are running this Friday. The man pictured will be back for your photogenic benefit. :)

  7. Typically for me it seems Friday’s are less of a crap shoot the the Tuesday runs. I’m sure it will get more questionable as the weeks roll on.
