This return half of a Barrhead Turn is timetable eastward (compass southeast) on Northern Alberta Railways by the grain elevators at the hamlet of Mearns under an ominous sky on Saturday 1980-09-20, with GMD1s 312 and 303 for power and just 27 miles from home at Dunvegan Yards in Edmonton. In the distance is the bell tower and spire of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church which, unlike those grain elevators, survives to this day.
