Caption: NEVERMORE FOR 904. Terra Transport NF110 # 904 has been taken out of service as no longer required and stored along with all her remaining NF110 sisters (900-908) in the Clarenville yard to wait eventual disposition. Built in 1953 by GMD of London with a class of GR12-b, she was among the six of the second and final batch of NF110 narrow gauge 1200 HP units delivered that year. Subsequent units arriving in 1956-1960 would have the NF210 designation. Wearing her second paint scheme of the CN 'Noodle', she and her sisters were often cannibalized for parts to ensure the continued operating of the remaining units still in service. To her left is one of the smaller 875 HP G8 units, # 804, one of six also built by GMD for branchline service and no longer required, and on her right is # 900. While the 904 and 804 would be brought to St. John's in 1988 for scrapping, # 900, the first roadswitcher built for Newfoundland was spared and would spend several years on static display at the Newfoundland Transportation Historical Society in Pippy Park until relocation back to this very site in 2007.(see image 29793)
