I got a tip that 568 would have SSRX 911 in tow so when the time came for the train's arrival into Stratford, I was there to document it. It was burning hot out so I had to either wait in the air conditioned car or find shade between taking pictures. CN L568 is pictured departing Stratford for St. Mary's with CN 9449-CN 9639-SSRX 911 and about 10 cars.

  1. Nice shot! Hope you brought ear plugs, those new ekyrail e-bells are the single worst sound in railroading!

  2. Nice shot Kevin. The switcher is going to Roslin Enterprises in the old Dana Corporation frame plant. All those tank cars on 568 are destined for there as well.

Roslin has been getting some tankers since the spring. Now their website is promoting a large tanker to truck transload business with capacity for up to 50 cars.

  3. For some reason I thought this was an older shot. The NA scheme on the 2nd unit for instance. Is the hopper a buffer car? And @cp5756 what are ekyrail e-bells? Very nice thanks!

  4. Thanks guys! @cp5756: I don’t pay attention to bells and whistles haha. I’m more focused on the visuals :)
