Caption: At about 0846h CNR U-1-f 6068 is seen accelerating away from the flag stop of Burlington on the point of train 101. Running from Toronto (Dep. 0800h) to Hamilton James Street station (Arr. 0900h), the train will continue on from Hamilton (Dep. 0915h) to Niagara Falls (Arr. 1050h) as train 102, having gone from a westbound to an eastbound train at Hamilton.* Built in November 1944, 6068 would be scrapped in October 1961. Note the crossing watchman's tower in the distance at Brant Street.

Old Plains Rd…..4 lanes because it was once the main Toronto-Hamilton highway. Most interesting. Oh, and the steamer too ) I wonder if that brick house is till there? The year 1958 was when Burlington underwent major expansion. Before that, this was the village of Freeman.
House is long gone and the site is occupied by a used car dealer. The overpass dates to 1936.
