So I head north on a sunny morning only to get skunked by the cloud off Georgian Bay. Common happening. Despite conditions, this image was rather nice; CP 5811 leading SOO 6049, CP 5997 and 6009 heading north (read: west)and made for a worthy image.
Rosseau Rd is a very popular location for photographers, as just to the east by less than a hundred feet is the CN line. So it is the best of both worlds thru here.
Caveat: Winged objects in the springtime. Flies and mosquitos voracious. There is a reason why I was there when snow was still on the ground.

  1. Those are the best days for nice crisp photos like this though, great capture of a great consist. Don’t forget the water and Massasauga rattle snakes you’re likely to see in/on those very rocks in the middle as well!

  2. Didn’t know there were still some rattlers in the area. I’ve not seen any since up in Tobermory in the ’70s. Thanks for the warning.
Still another reason to keep my adventures in the area limited to early spring & late fall!
