Construction of the GO East Rail Maintenance Facility progresses, with the west side railbeds partially installed,
 

   as VIA #6401 leads the mid morning J train,  #62  to Montreal and  #52 to Ottawa (with 6434 ) ,  slowing for the Oshawa station stop,


   and in the background the tail end of an auto parts / auto racks westbound exits the south service track  powered by a CN  8889 / 2191 / 5442   combo:  SD70M-2 /  Dash 8-40 CW  / SD60;

   Noteworthy: 


The GM Oshawa plant ceased production December 2019. There will be a return of  auto parts/ racks action  (whether CP may be involved n/k ) at the renewed GM facility: pickup production is targeted to begin in January 2022 with the next-generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, including their heavy-duty variants.
