To me, this is classic CP on the St. Thomas Subdivision. While I did spent time on the mainline in the early to mid 2000's, the branchlines called me quite often and I was often one of the few photographers that ventured down the St. Thomas Sub to regularly catch the action. You either found the Frame Train, one of the twice daily CAMI turns, or a St. Thomas (Putnam) turn which ran I think 5 days a week. Furthermore, a pair of GP9's were common on most trains, anything else was actually a bit of a rarity (GP40's, 38's, but they did regularly cycle through).Basically, if you told someone who was last here 15 years ago nothing had changed, and they stared at this picture, they'd be none the wiser. But, it is the Ontario Southland Railway :)
