Caption: Enemy territory? I'm not going to claim to be an expert in Niagara options, so please do correct me, but I followed a GT Heritage unit (Jordan Station) earlier in the day to Clifton and stuck around the Niagara Region on a cloudless, beautiful , not too cold winter's day. I ended up finding CP TE12? at CN Southern Yard trying to interchange cars in the yard, but they sat there for over an hour and I'd soon find out why - over the radio they couldn't get a switch to close properly and needed a CN MOW crew to come by and help them. After they gave up waiting, they decided not to attempt any further work (rather than try a switch on the south end) and they reversed all the way to CN Robbins to get back on home rails, which is rare because they apparently take the west leg of the wye normally between Robbins West and Brookfield East. While CP does occasionally wye here (they did last night) and of course, mainline CP freights go through here, locals are a rarity. Correct me if I'm wrong, but did CP/CN move the interchange to Southern Yard after NF was abandoned in 2001? Or was Southern Yard enabled for CP after the diamond at Netherby was removed?
