Caption: In addition to grain loads picked up, a long string of ballast empties are headed home with the grain extra on a sunny end of the week evening. The train is coming around the bend which leads to Coronado, a couple of miles further west. This being a print negative, which I generally kept poor records of, and from other sightings of the 4603 & 9167 as a pair in Sept. 1988, I'm sure this photo is from the same time frame. (GP38 renumbering happened over the summer of 1988 too.)
