Caption: In response to Arnold's photo in 2009 , here's a contemporary view of action on this spur. Crossing Highway 140 on the former NYC/PC Caso Subdivision, this segment was cut off in 1974 for the new Welland Canal. 615 (Named after 615 Rusholme Road, address of the facility as per Mr. Knott), nee #7, nee Stelco 53 has 5 loaded pipe cars from Welded Tube Welland and blasts their interesting horn as they head to Southern Yard. It's interesting how at first look, not much has really changed when you glance at all this, but when you dig deeper so much has at this location. The Universal Resource Recovery signs are still up at the "martech" facility.. as are the Martech signs... you can peel back the decades of history just walking around the property. The Welland Pipe sign is nearly faded completely at left in this photo. The company names keep changing but rail operations have been largely the same!

For those interested in railcars, the pipe cars in service for Welded Tube were re-lettered CWLX (from DWC) and the white CN painted over late last year, as evidenced in this photo. I think some still in DWC letters are in storage in Allanburg.
