Caption: CP RDC-2 9109 drifts eastbound on CP's Belleville Sub at Mile 199.0, passing the International Waxes Limited plant just east of Midland Avenue. Note the cut of tank cars spotted at the plant, as well as a white-clad employee on the rear loading docks looking on. It wasn't indicated if this was the CP Employee Shuttle from Lambton, or one of the Peterborough/Havelock RDC runs coming from Toronto (although since it's running on the south tracks, I'm thinking possibly the latter, but then again, the removable gyralight on the rear door (but headlights off) suggests the shuttle, which probably had a portable gyralight on each end to avoid the crew having to move it to the other end at the end of each run).

Originally founded in 1943, International Waxes Ltd was present at this location in the 1940's when much around it was still rural farmland (see the 1947 aerial view here, top middle). Expanding over the years (1971 aerial), today the wax plant continues to see rail service into the 2020's(!) operating as the International Group Inc (IGI).

Interesting details: as the surrounding area was built up, grade separations for the Belleville Sub started going in during the 1960's. Check out the amount of work and shoefly detour tracks at Sheppard Ave. in 1963 and Midland in 1969)
