Caption: On a visit to Capreol, Ontario in August 2010, I found this unit behind the NRE shops. The possible history of this unit is as follows: built for the Long Island Railroad in December 1963. It was sold to Morrison Knudsen who used it on their Vermont Northern Railway, and ultimately sold to PV Commodity Limited, Calgary, AB. Somewhere along the way, the short hood was chopped. Any help with the confirmation of the unit's history and ultimate disposition would be appreciated.

All data from Steve Lynch’s LIRR site. Note, most former LI C420′s died in Canada. At one time #202 sported a fireball paint scheme!
Most interesting photo. I had no idea any LIRR units ended up in Canada. And it is much appreciated to have this list of disposition entered here……the only unit I ever caught was #216 working Rouses Point on the D&H; in LHRR blue & yellow paint back in 1977.
THANKS, both.
Thanks for the comments. Is it possible that the unit was scrapped in Capreol?
