Back to back SOO Line SD60's, as with other SOO power, were common in Southern Ontario on CP freights back in the day. On one sunny morning in August 1999, SOO SD60 6040 and 6045 (both in as-delivered liveries, as starting with 6042 SOO switched from red/white to all-red) head up CP intermodal #502, exercising trackage rights over CN's Oakville Sub as they enter CP's Canpa Sub at Canpa (the west end of Mimico). From there they'll swing north and head up the Canpa to Obico Yard. Both today survive on CP as rebuilt 6200's.

  1. Nice photo Peter, Dan. I wonder where this train originated? Was this what became 167 from Oak Point NJ in a few years?
