Great consist Arnold and an even greater capture! It still amazes me how the early VIA days were anything but dull. – Ken
Fantastic image! It is amazing just how much that location has filled in and is only accessible today by a drone.
Been over this bridge more times than I can count. We just called it Fairchilds Creek. LOL,we know it because we had to slow our trains down to 40MPH going over that bridge..URGH
Mother nature has not been kind to this spot, I did the hike in a few times since the summer and it is not photographable from the ground. The drone came in handy here: http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=42187
I had NO idea it was as bad as that. Thanks, Jazzy; you just saved me a trip with a camera and bottle of water down into the jungles thru the hot weather to find out it would all be in vain. I’ll just go somewhere else rather than invest in a drone.
It was a little better in the fall but not able to photograph from the ground: http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=43139
