Caption: Here's a bit of a flashback. Really nothing in this photo exists any more except the two main lines and the bridge in the background. I am standing on the Waterdown bridge looking west, as a trio of GP40-2L (W) model locos come at me, led by CN 9584. On the left; the Kirkelder Spray Mister building, later Aldershot Cold Storage, was razed in 2009. The siding where the boxcars are seen is now 3rd track to accommodate Metrolinx. Chimney in distance was part of Burlington Brick Co., now cleared out and a new survey of homes on the site. On the right, the stub with the tank cars on it is gone, and now there is a two track lead to the Aldershot Yard over this ground. The Lemonville Rd bridge in the background is still there, and is still used by fans on occasion for photography. For anyone who wants to brave the traffic on the Waterdown bridge, an interesting "time machine" photo could be had here. I'm wondering abut the car on the left side .... it has to be a railfan, but who?
