Caption: I enjoy replicating photos years later showing changes, not only of motive power we so cherish, but the background and places we also enjoy visiting. Since CN took back Hamilton, this has to date been arguably one of the best consists of motive power for fans, who can argue a chance to photograph this trio servicing one of Canada's three vertically integrated blast furnace steel mills? Compare to this photo, when Stelco was recently purchased by US steel and CP's motive power was vastly different than it is today, and at right, Stelco's bar mill is still Stelco, but now Max Aicher North America (MANA):
CP @ Stelco, 2010
Naturally this is one of my favorite angles in Hamilton. Stelco is still going strong so it'll be here a while, I hope

After been pretty steady for months, it seems to have quieted down a bit last week or two rail-wise. Was empty there on the weekend until CP dropped a couple for loading. Hoping (and frankly assuming) it’s just a temporary lull in action – by all accounts they are busy.
Agreed. I went long periods with little action during the 2010′s… it had lots of ups and downs
Iirc due to caledonia in december they were transloding nanticoke traffic hence the long train of coil cars in this pic.
