Caption: ON A WARM SUMMER'S EVENING. The lyrics from one of the late great Kenny Rogers biggest hits came to mind when the photographer captured three Terra Transport NF210's in the last days of their service on 'The Rock' on August 7, 1988. Parked on back of the Victorian Era Station that opened in 1903, the units are wearing three different paint schemes with the most rare being that of the 915. It was only one of two diesels painted as such with the formation of Terra Transport in 1979, the other being 917. The scheme was a throwback to the 1961 CN 'Noodle' era but a more modern version was later applied as seen on 938, with a much larger and centered TT bi-directional arrow, red on the cab sides and yellow safety stripes on the skirts. The 917 would later be repainted in that scheme with the 915 retaining her unique paint until the very end on September 30, 1988.By now train service was quickly winding down and a lot of motive power was being brought to St. John's for storage and eventual disposition.
