Caption: I remember asking the village secretary what happened to the old CPR train station that served Myrnam in the old days. I was sure she would tell me the building was demolished many years ago, but to my surprise she said it's still around and sitting (in two pieces) on a farm just north of town. After getting permission from the farmer I drove up to the site. However getting to the actual building was interesting. I had to slide under the gate while avoiding the many existing cow patties before I could walk up to the building. The fact that the farmer had intended to make a new residence by modifying the old Myrnam CPR station was clearly illustrated by the new concrete foundation it sat on. Unfortunately the local youth had some parties there and as a result did some major damage to the interior and exterior fixtures. The farmer asked me not to divulge the actual location and I have not. The GPS numbers are for the station's actual/original location in town. The station was built as a "CPR western lines standard A-3"station.
