Caption: Welp, that's all folks. In better days, CN 1408 had the mainline all by itself as it led L568 from Kitchener to London and back, here seen crossing eastward on the Guelph subdivision. Crossing over Trout Creek, itself joining the Thames River just to the west, you'd not realize in less than a year 1408 would be retired for good. Looks like the end has come for our GMD-1's - we'll see how much longer the remaining few last...

I was surprised the GMD-1′s were resurrected 15 years ago when we spotted one at Bayview. And that they lasted this long! They will be sadly missed. Thanks Steve for this one!
