Great place for photos with no handrails on the bridge. Nice clear photos like this one.
Good work Carson, perfect sized train.
I wonder if a train that size consistently is worth a rethink? I love the CN 6 axles on short locals..even though is not a local. Great shot!
I doubt the small trains last long. Weren’t some 581s 100+ cars? From what I understand, Esso had converted all of their railcar loading for trucks while the line was severed. I can’t imagine converting it all back is like flipping a light switch. It will surely take time. Same with Stelco – they had been trucking coils to Hamilton for loading, with Stelco here being notably busy while the line to Nanticoke was severed. Even still this week, I have seen several sizeable trains of empty coils for Stelco. So they too may be in a period of transition and readjustment for rail for Nanticoke. Give it time.
Thanks James. Guess I was jumping the gun on that one!
Today it ran with zero (0) cars. Hopefully CN and Imperial Oil get things sorted out soon!
Beautiful scene crossing the Grand !
