Caption: CP 2715 east, east of Dewdney with over 80 car freight. I was told by Harry Lee, living in North Bend, that CP used to run "double trains" from Vancouver to Ruby Creek. The grades east of Ruby creek get steeper, so at Ruby Creek they would set off half the train and continue on to North Bend with the rest. From North Bend they ran more trains to Ruby Creek to pick up the other half of the trains. There was a wye at Ruby creek to turn the engines.
