Caption: Making it’s way south towards Streetsville and the CP Galt Sub for the final time, CCGX 4015 is seen passing through the tiny village of Inglewood with light power at 0858 during the Saturday morning of June 30 2018. This was the last day the CANDO short line rail company would operate this line because earlier that year they announced to the public that for ‘personal company reasons’ they just simply choose they no longer wished to operate the OBRY and a couple months prior to this day the Trillium Rail company took over all freight operations on this 36mile short line and as of early 2021, continue to move freight from Mississauga to Orangeville twice a week. Unfortunately though, presently the operations along this 36 mile short line are said to cease entirely by Dec 31 2021 due to financial matters with the Orangeville Township but from a recent newspoint only this past January, apparently a Municipal Transit Company who puts electric buses on rails to help people commute (kind of like a LRT) has shown a bit of interest in purchasing this line from Orangeville thinking that if they could have their rail buses service Mississauga, Brampton and then eventually Orangeville, it’ll eventually earn them some good profit and also benefit the Orangeville town well in the long run, but that was only just a thought, still way too early to raise our hopes, best thing anyone can do now is just take things one day at a time and make sure we get our shots because almost everyone would agree that the ‘always better safe than sorry’ route is always the best way to go!
