Caption: When L 59151 05 showed up at the G3 Elevator in Morinville, Alberta, the crew found the 150 car grain train blocking the switch into the loop track. G3 staff gave the crew a ride from the CN 3008 to the CN 2879 and the crew pulled the 20959 ton train down clear of the switch to allow CN 3008 and CN 3842 to tack onto the tailend. Typically the grain empties arrive at G3 1x0x1DP, enabling the new crew to simply taxi up, board the tailend DP unit and depart, however today the empties arrived with a midtrain remote. As a result, the L591 crew was required to operate power from Edmonton to Morinville, and set up distributed power, allowing them to depart 2x1x1DP. Here we see the headend of the train and the tailend of the train, as they depart the loop track.
