Caption: Hard to believe this image was taken from off the Waterdown Rd bridge in Aldershot, looking east. Today you would see a lot more track, as in yard leads; plus GO and VIA platforms and the Aldershot GO station off to the left. It has all changed. But then, this photo is from 45 years ago.
In the view, CN 1238 and 1322 are westbound, perhaps to Hamilton, with mixed freight. I miss these versatile little switchers.

The 1322 has that classic font for numerals. I wonder if they are making a short stop to the left? There is a switchman guarding the switch on that side, no one else in the cabs except the engineer. Quick pickup or drop off maybe? A real nice switcher action shot Arnold.
Thanks. Yes, a bit of work before continuing.
I don’t know where this train originated or its destination; but just figured Aldershot to Stuart St.
Track motor cars still in use at that time as evidenced by the take-off stand to the center left of the photo.
