I'm at First Line Nassagaweya west of Guelph Jct. This is back in the days before "No Parking" signs and other hindrances and we could just sit back and enjoy the action. This view shows CP 6043, 5533 and 4734 about to head west once the eastbound CP 5645, SOO 6450 and 6606 clears. The lads share a greeting.
Note the SOO 6450 is a "B" unit; the only one on the roster. It was retired in Oct of 1993. The 6606 was retired in 2012 and converted to one of those ECO units, number 5019. Of the CPs, only 6043 remains on their roster.

Interesting db placement on the B unit. Great scene.
I recall the SOO B-unit was acquired by them secondhand from BN, who converted the SD40 into a B-unit after a wreck (along with a few other units, including an “SW1000B” switcher)
Sante Fe converted a few SD45-2′s into b units and placed the DB’s just like this. They ended up on the BNSF roster. Super b unit photo Arnold.
Pure GJ – a joy to fan there

at least the 6043 is still active and pullin’ freight for the CP, nice grab!
Really nice meet shot Arnold.
The SOO B-unit was retired in 2002. I was fortunate to see it a few times when it ventured into the area.
