I was hoping former GP40X #4522 would eventually show up on T14 and as luck would have it GP38AC 3004 was pulled off the train over the weekend and replaced by 4522. After grabbing a couple of boxcars from the branch north of highway 401 and working the yard T14 is finally on its way back home to Lambton yard. The 4522 is unique even if it has been rebuilt into a GP38-2 and is technically no longer a true GP40X. CP only has a handful of the former Union Pacific GP40X's and the 4522 is the only one currently assigned to Ontario.

  1. Nice! I’m quite happy with the collection of 4-axle power CP has been using on locals lately. I wish these unique locomotives had toured the Waterloo Sub back in 2019 when I lived in Kitchener. It was mostly ECOs back then, well at least before I moved away!

  2. It looks good out on the main.

  3. I’m still missing the worn out collection of GP9U’S that were once do common, especially on this train that seemed to get a different set almost every day.

  4. now that’s a leader! great shot Marcus
