The dreary drab dull and gritty days of November...circa 1979
interesting times, and with VIA repainting CN ( and CP Rail ) units as fast as possible …
….the push was on to capture the remaining CN noodle passenger units
VIA 68 on the Scarborough Hill with ex CN FPA-4's and a GEEP: 6793 – 67xx - 41xx
near mile 326 Kingston Subdivision, November 1979 Kodak negative transported in a Nikkormat EL, by S.Danko
what's interesting:
that 13 car conventional was considered normal for a Sunday afternoon
and that sound: two FPA-4's at full throttle ! ( plus that geep too ) on jointed rail...
do note: that jointed rail has a 90 m.p.h. limit !
faster
That view is looking west towards GECO, so:

Classic, everyday scene in the days of CNR passenger pride. Very nice.
Clickety clack… Awesome photo! Train speed still 90mph. Geco spur long gone now
