Tony, Curious, when was the CTC removed for the Canal spur? (From Feeder to Welland yard)
sorry Stephen, dan’t help you with your CTC question
No problem it wouldn’t have been too long before or after Trillium took over. There would have been a signal bridge on the other side of the Canal between there and welland for the begin CTC plus other signals along the way. Surprising really..
Reviewing some of my notes and documents, revised circuit plans “Proposed Remove CTC” were issued in October 1989 for the Canal Sub. between Feeder South and Welland Diamond. I believe it was in conjunction with the planned relocation of the London Train Dispatchers to the Toronto Rail Traffic Control Centre which took place in 1990.
Did 6101 do interchange with CN at Merritton? CN still ran the locals in Merritton until 99.
